Weather in Beijing, as in most of China, has a continental monsoon climate with dry winters and hot summers. During the winter (November to February), the weather commonly brings dry and cold climate with occasional snowfall, temperature between 2°C and -5°C. During summer (May to September) with temperatures ranging from 25°C-30°C, the weather is mostly hot and humid. Autumn (from mid-September to the end of October) is the best time for visit Beijing. Visitors will enjoy mild temperature and plenty of sunshine.

Summer in Beijing is very hot especially in June and July with temperature between July and August ranges between 30°C and 40°C. If travelling during this time it is best to travel before early June or late August to avoid the heat and rainy weather.

Autumn (from mid-September to the end of October)
Autumn in Beijing enjoys mild temperature and plenty of sunshine. The weather is gorgeous and the scenery of the trees changing colour engaging. There are also fewer tourists. All through this short season of the year the average highs stands at 25°C while the lows at around 8°C.

Beijing has a cold, long and dry winter. The average temperature in December, January and February below is 0°C. Make sure you will bring comfortable winter clothes with layers. Winter is not a bad time for visit Beijing.
