Q: How do I make a tour reservation?
Our Tour Search Engine allows you to search for a tour that meets your needs and you could design a trip to tell us, we will arrange it for you.

Q: How can I pay for the tour charge? Do I need prepayment?
The tour with airport pick up/drop off service, flights tickets, train tickets, hotel require some prepayment.

Q: What about Tour Payment Method?
a. Cash to tour guide (CNY/ USD);
b. Credit Card through PayPal;
c. Western Union Money Transfer;
d. Bank Remit (Wire Transfer);
e. Credit Card.

Q: Do I need visa for China Tours?
All visitors traveling to mainland China, whether for business or travel need a visa (except those meet the conditions of 72 hours visa-free transit policy in Beijing and Shanghai). To enter Hong Kong, nationals of most countries do not require visas. Depending on nationality, you can stay for periods varying from 7 days to 180 days.

Q: Who can apply for 72 hours visa-free transit in Beijing and Shanghai?
From 1st January 2013, from 45 countries, the tourists whom pass Beijing and Shanghai do not need to apply the Chinese visa, 72 hours visa free. The following is some requirement about the visa free policy.
a. The guests must have flights tickets to the third countries from Beijing or Shanghai before arrival, such as if you arrival at Beijing or Shanghai from Chicago and from Beijing or Shanghai, you will take flight to Bangkok.
b. The guests should contact the airline company and tell them you would like to have some sightseeing in Beijing or Shanghai and let the airline company contact with the customs.
c. The guests require to be register with the China police within 24 hours of arrival.
d. The guests could not leave Beijing or Shanghai and will come to the third city from Beijing or Shanghai.
e. 45 countries for the visa free:

Q: On the website, there are different kind of tours, Luxury, Standard and Budget, what are the differences?
In most circumstances, Chinalandscapes uses 5 star hotels for Luxury Class, 4 star hotels for Standard Class, 3 star hotels for Budget Class.

Q: What is the difference between bus tour and private tour?
During the bus tour, there will be other guests share the tour coach and tour guide with you. Which private tour is customized for you, your family or your friends exclusively and no other travelers will join in your group. Bus tour is cheaper than Private tour.

Q: How can I meet the driver for the airport transfer service?
When you come out of the terminal, please find the pick-up staff waiting for you at the welcome area holding a sign with your name on the hands.

Q: Could the driver pick me up or drop off even my flight is in midnight?
We offer airport service at any time of the day.

Q: Which languages do you your tour guides speak?
In the major tourist cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Xian and Guilin, English, French, Japanese, Spanish etc. major European languages are available. But in smaller cities we cannot guarantee a full range of these services.

Q: When the tour guide pick up from hotel and what time the tour will finish?
The tour guide will pick you up from your hotel around 07:30am. Your tour guide will call you in the evening before your tour date and tell you the exact pick up time for the next day tour, if you are not in the room, the tour guide will leave a message for you.

Q: What should I do if I cannot find my guide?
Upon your arrival: Our guides will wait for you at the airport/railway station holding a sign with your name. If for some extraneous reason you cannot find our tour guide, please call us at 86-10-51660414 & 86-13910684455.
In scenic areas: Usually the tourist spots in China are very crowded during the peak seasons. If you find the guide is not with you and cannot find him or her, please follow the steps: firstly, don't be panic, stay where you are, do not move far away and let the guide find you; Secondly, if there seems to be a problem with your guide finding you, find the nearest phone and call us at 86-10-51660414 to help you.

Q: How can I meet my tour guide in the hotel?
Your tour guide will call you to your room when he arrives at your hotel. So please just wait in your room at the pick up time as tour guide told you before the tour date.

Q: Do you have hotel transfer service for all guests in Beijing?
Usually we supply hotel transfer service for guests who stay in Beijing downtown area.

Q: What is the difference of the Badaling Great Wall and Mutianyu Great Wall?
Both the Mutianyu Great Wall and Badaling Great Wall are very famous. They all have their own features. The Badaling Great Wall is the most famous and earliest opened part of the Great Wall. Mutianyu Great Wall has the most beautiful natural scenery and it is less crowed than the Badaling Great Wall.

Q: Is the cable far included in the Great Wall Tour?
Cable car fee is excluded in the tour price, if you would like to use the cable car the tour guide could help you to buy it and you could pay the cable car fee by your side, it is about US$13 (RMB80) for round trip.

Q: How many people in the bus tour?
The number of guest will not fixed until the tour day. Usually, we will supply 22 seats van if there are 10 people.

Q: To save more time to visit the places, I don't want to visit the souvenir shop, can I?
Of course you can skip the souvenir shop in your private tour. But the tour without souvenir shop is more expensive than the tour with souvenir shops. Also the souvenir shops all have unique Chinese characters such as the tea house, silk shop & jade shop, etc. You will know more about Chinese culture and they are good gift for friends and families. What do you think about it?

Q: I want to go to a restaurant as my favorite in the tour, can I?
Of course you can have the lunch in your favorite restaurant and we will not collect the lunch money from you for guests in private tour. But for customers in bus tour, the price of the tour is fixed even though you will not have lunch with us.

Q: I'm Muslim, do you supply Muslim food or vegetarian food?
No problem we can arrange vegetarian food for you if you are Muslim.

Q: How long we will stay in the Great Wall, Forbidden City ... ?
You will have about 2 hours to climb and enjoy the beautiful Great Wall or the Forbidden City, about 1 hour to visit the Temple of Heave, about 1 and 20 minutes to visit the Summer Palace.

Q: Can we visit Olympic Stadium in the Great Wall bus tour?
On the way back to hotel, the tour coach will drive by the Olympic Stadium but will not stop. You could have a sightview in the coach. If you prefer to enter the Olympic Stadium to have a visit, our tour guide drop you off there and you could visit there and transfer back to hotel by your own.
