The Tour We Join: 2 Days Guilin Bus Tour Packages

This 2 days trip took us to some iconic attractions near Guilin including Reed Flute Cave, Fubo Hill, Elephant Trunk Hill and Yangshuo. Here several pictures that can tell our story in Guilin.

First in our first day we visited Reed Flute Cave, Fubo Hill and Elephant Trunk Hill, but for me I love more Reed Flute Cave view. It is a nature cave filled with stalagmites and stalactites with different shapes and sizes. The picture of Reed Flute Cave can be seen above.

On our second day in Guilin, we did visit Yangshuo. A boat trip along the Li River to nearby Yangshuo, it is a pretty touristy town, famous for the stunning landscapes surrounding the town.

The boat took around 4 hours to reach Yangshuo, and we were swept up in the mass stampede of tourists heading towards town. Above is photo with my 2 boys right after step the town.

Tour guide took us explore the town including to interesting shopping street and small river nearby. Our time in the beautiful surrounds of Yangshuo was short, but China is a very big country, there are more that we could explore. I am looking forward for next China trip!

The Tour We Join: Guilin Bus Day Tour: Longji Terraced Field

Starting our trip at morning early from the airport directly after we arrived, travelled by van to Longji terraces. We picked great time for come, on May 2013, warm climate. Longji Rice Terraced also known as Dragon's Backbone due to the mountains ridges that can be seen from the top with beautiful rice terraces everywhere.

Start our climb on a small path, we need to climb up through terraced rice paddies and gradually climbs higher into the mountain. It was so interesting to experience how the rice paddies looked from closer.

We climbed higher and higher. Over here, there are also quite a few western tourists around. It is about an hour's climb to reach the top, and get some very beautiful scenes.

Everything was worth it. The views of the paddy-covered hills that we can see below and the surrounding mountains were awesome.

After got some amazing pictures of the terraces from the summit, we did have a refreshing drink at the snack shop, had a rest for a bit.

For about 15 minutes having rest to get our energy back, then walked back down again. We are really tired but extremely satisfied from what we got. I think stay overnight nearby Longji terraced would be great experience, far from the city, very peaceful. I am looking forward for that time.

The Tour We Join: Guilin Bus Day Tour: Elephant Trunk Hill & Fubo Hill

Guilin is a beautiful city filled with nature, less pollution and crowded. Different from other big cities in China such as Shanghai or Beijing, Guilin has more show its nature scenery. That day, I had a great chance traveled to Reed Flute Cave, Fubo Hill and Elephant Trunk Hill.

Reed Flute Cave is 250m long, full of stalactites and stalagmites which are illuminated in different colors. It is the coolest cave I have ever visited and definitely worth the visit.

Illuminated with different colors, its fantastic spectacle could be found in many variations of stalactites, stalagmites and rock formations in weird and wonderful shapes with different sizes.

Along the way, our guide told us plenty interesting myths behind each shapes of Reed Flute Cave. It makes our trip to Reed Flute Cave become more memorable and fun.

The Elephant Trunk Hill is the symbol of Guilin which resembles a large elephant drinking water from the Li River. For visitor who visit Guilin, this site is a never miss because it is the main landmark of the city.

Next after that, visit Fubo Hill which located on the west bank of Li River, our last destination for this Guilin group day tour. After enjoyed the garden scenery in the front gate, we entered the cave where we found numerous Buddhist statues which were sculpted in Tang Dynasty.

Besides, there is also stalactite stone column an inch off the ground, which is thick at the top and thin at the bottom called Sword Testing Stone. Behind its unique name, of course there is a long story as background.
