Discover the Best Scenery of China! by Janie Portman

January15

We just got back from our China tour within 13 days. Since we did explore a lot of breathtaking nature scenery, met lot of local tour guides, and experienced a lot more than I imagined before so I just will tell you customized our tour to a short part of it. Since a long time ago, I do already love Yunnan region of China. Saw a lot about its tourism and plenty of nature spots around the region. That is why I choose this 13 days China tour. Seems a little bit long for you maybe, but one you step out travel then all really went so fast, especially if you love the tour.

YangshuoYangshuo, Famous For its Karsts Hill

First destination that we did visit during our tour was Guilin, a region which famous for its breathtaking karts landscapes and winding clear river, Li River. We did visit plenty of natural spots in and out Guilin such as, Yangshuo, Longji Paddies Field, Elephant Trunk Hill, Moon Hill and many others. As one of the favorite tourism destinations in China, in Guilin we still saw other tourists besides us. Of course, all attractions in Guilin have its own characteristic that made us amazed because its beauty.

After Guilin, we move to Yunnan Province to visit Stone Forest near Kunming, the capital. Besides the amazing stone forest, a journey to see the mother nature and ancient towns in China surely be come to Yunnan. To Erhai Lake and Dali Ancient Town, a small ancient Chinese town wedged between a set of snow covered mountains on one side and a very large lake. It was so different then rest of the China; people are laid-back. With the magnificent view of Cangshan range and Erhai Lake, the atmosphere is the biggest selling point of Dali.

Lijiang Ancient TownStroll Around Lijiang Ancient Town

Apart from Dali, another town nearby called Lijiang was our next destination. Lijiang has famous for its Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Lijiang Ancient Town. On the drive from Dali to Lijiang, we were struck by the amazing views. It is really mountainous in this part of Lijiang and the countryside is phenomenal. We went past some beautiful places but sadly we didn't know how to get back to them. Everything from the scenery, experience, all was so priceless and we cannot get them all without travel agency help. We still had a lot of interesting stories could be shared, maybe in next time. Amazing experience!

Comprehensive Tour to 3 Golden Cities in China by Krishnendu Anupum

January14

That was my first time visit China and then I decided to explore 3 golden cities including Beijing, Xian and Shanghai. So I took this 8 days China tour which brought us explore many main sites in each city. Among all, of course a visit to Great Wall and Forbidden City is a must thing to do, then to Xian visitors should explore Terracotta Army then to Shanghai, you must stroll around the Bund. Everything essential things I did during 8 days China tour.

Forbidden CityHall of Supreme Harmony has the highest number of roof figures in the Forbidden City.

First visit to Beijing, most excellent experience by personally admire biggest wooden structures complex of imperial palace, Forbidden City. While walking around the palace, we felt like exploring the art museum with impressive design detail and layout. Everything was so rich with history and art. Because the explanation of our guides, we are also able to know about the cruel and amazing story behind each spot.

Terracotta ArmyTerracotta Army (PIT 1)

While visiting Xian, Terracotta Army should be the highlight! Same as everyone do feel, I also loved my experience visit this huge archeological finding. As the main purpose of the Terracotta army was to protect the emperor after death, so we heard it was built nearly after Qin emperor (The first emperor of China) ascended to the throne. Apart from its amazing and unbelievable history that you will also heard from guide explanation during the tour, Terracotta Army also has majestic displays, no one seems look alike. Among hundreds terracotta sculptures, they have own facial expression and gestures. The heights and weights of the Terracotta sculptures also different as the tallest are said to be the generals of the army. As one of World Heritage Sites listed by UNESCO, Terracotta Army success made my tour memorable!

The day that we visited the Terracotta Warriors in early December 2013, it was a cold winter day, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. It was simply incredible. A museum was built on site in 1975, and visitors have been flocking there in droves to see these life size figures of warriors arranged in battle formations. They are exact replicas of what the Imperial Guard wore in those days, and the mere site of them is simply magnificent.

After Xian, of course our next stop is Shanghai, which also our last destination. We had so many happy, happy journeys together with my family. And since then, we are looking forward from our next trip to china in near future for sure.

Chengdu Tour Complete with a Panda Visit by Cynthia Lee

January13

A visit to Chengdu should be known that could be a trip more than just an exploration to China Giant Panda Breeding Center or just admire panda. Might few visitors will know about other interesting attractions in Chengdu but after this tour we knew a lot about it. First place that I did visit during those 5 days tour in Sichuan Chengdu is surely Chengdu Breeding Panda Center. A chance to personally see Giant Panda in China comes when I visit Chengdu. Inside this site, there are plenty of excellent opportunities to get up close and personal with one of the world's most distinctive creatures.

Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding CenterChinese Adorable Pandas Playing with Others

On our second day of the tour, we got a whole day to spend inChengdu Panda Breeding Center. Better go at the early morning during feeding time to see these laidback creatures at their most active. For this whole day tour in breeding center, now at least we knew about the habit and life style of giant panda. We also knew about its growth, get so many knowledge about rare animals etc. And the most exited was we got a great chance to get really close with panda, even hold them in personally and took some pictures. That was worth it and memorable! I could not believe why they so adorable!

Mount EmeiMount Emei

As I said before, a tour to Chengdu should not be about just panda but the excursion to Leshan Giant Buddha and Mount Emei was also breathtaking and a must! That was I did on the day three and four. Overall both attractions were so impressive. Did not believe we could visit three famous attractions which also listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO within less than 5 days! So I recommended this itinerary so much! If you love nature then this is the way!

On the third day, a trip to Leshan Giant Buddha makes me amazed by its beauty! From the ferry, we could see Leshan Giant Buddha whole figure including its guardian from river. The 1200 year old Buddha stands tall at 71 meters. Very huge and even regarded as the biggest Buddha statues on earth! Then travel to Mount Emei was like a dream. A great escape from the city to the sacred Buddhist mountain of China (Mount Emei) was really worth it. Had great opportunity to admire stunning sceneries as well as short trip to Buddhist temple on the mountain. Such a blessed after all!
