Qufu

Qufu, one of the most famous city in China, is situated in the southwest of Shandong Province. It is one of the 24 famous historical and cultural cities announced by the State Council. It is 160 kilometers(about 2 hours\' bus ride) to Jinan, the capital city of Shandong Province.

Qufu was the capital of the kingdom Lu, in the Spring and Autumn Period(770 BC-476 BC), it is the hometown of the great Chinese philosopher Confucius. Many tourist want to visit the place where confucius lived. The house of Confucius is the highest building in Qufu. The residence in Qufu would like to express their respect to Confucius in this way.

There are many residents in Qufu whom surname is Kong and they are all Confucius\' decendants. Qufu rice is very famous in China.
