Itinerary of Top 10 China Tour - 9 Days Yunnan Tour Packages from Kunming to Dali,Lijiang,Shangri-la

Day 1: Arrival in Kunming
Our guide will pick you up at the exit of Kunming Airport and transfer you to the hotel in the downtown. The rest day is free.

Day 2: Kunming (B, L)
This day begin with visiting to the famous Qiongzhu Temple and then transfer to Stone Forest. You will enjoy bunch of amazing and magnificent landscape of karsts formations covering an area three-hundred square kilometers which has long history, over hundreds million years old. After that, we will visit a tea house.
- Stone Forest: Among the most dramatic attractions in Kunming, it is the Stone Forest (Shilin), known since the Ming Dynasty (1368- 1644) as the "First Wonder of the World."

Day 3: Kunming – Dali (B, L)
You will take flight to Dali in the morning and tour guide will pick you up at the airport. You will visit Erhai Lake Park, the Three Pagoda Temple and the Dali Old Town. After the tour, transfer you back to the hotel in Dali.
- Erhai: The Lake is the second largest lake of Yunnan Province, with the Dianchi Lake ranking the first. It is named after its shape and expanse. "Er" in Chinese means a human ear and "Hai" means a sea, therefore it got the name Erhai.
- Three Pagodas: the Dali Three Pagodas, located in the Chongsheng Temple at the foot of the Cangshan Mountain, have a history of over 1,800 years. They have been eyewitnesses to Dali's history and embody the development of Buddhism in the area.
- Dali Ancient Town: a city that is famous for its literature, historical records, cultural of heritage and richest relic in Yunnan Province. It faces Erhai Lake to the east and Cangshan Mountain to the west.

Day 4: Dali – Lijiang (B, L)
It takes about three to four hours driving from Dali to Lijiang. On the way, visit the Bai Traditional House in Xizhou. Then you will go to nearby Zhoucheng to visit the traditional hand-made Tie Dyeing in the local people's home. Check in at the hotel in the town and after a short rest you will transfer to Lijiang Old Town. Walking through street in this old town, you will see many interesting and fancy handicrafts to bring home.

Day 5: Lijiang (B, L)
Pick you up from the hotel and visit the Baisha Village and a local Naxi family, the Baisha Murals, the Rock Joseph's Former Residence in Yuhu Village. You can explore the old town by yourselves in the afternoon
- Baisha Village: is a small village near the town of Dayan. Also it is one of the first settlements of Naxi ancestors. Here Naxi Ethnic groups set up the first settlement and created their Dongba culture.

Day 6: Lijiang - Shangri-La (B, L)
In the morning you will be transfer to Shangri-la. We will drive you from Lijiang to Shangri-la for about 4 to 5 hours. Along the way, you will visit Tiger Leaping Gorge and Stone Drum Town. Enjoy the famous and fascinating gorges in Tiger Leaping Gorge. Arrive at Shangri-la, you will be transfer to the hotel in the town.

Day 7: Shangri-la (B, L)
Pick you up at the hotel in the departure time, then transferred to visit the Songzan Lin Temple which also known as the Small Potala Palace. Then you will visit famous and beauty Bitahai Lake and Shudu Lake. After enjoy the stunning sceneries, you will visit a local Tibetan family, know better about their culture and life style.
- Songzan Lin Temple: Songzanlin Monastery also known as Guihua Monastery, is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan province.
- Bitahai Lake: Bitahai Lake is famous for its limpid water and its beautiful scenery set against its surrounding mountains and forests.

Day 8: Shangri-la – Kunming (B, L)
From Shangri-la you will take a flight to Kunming in the morning. Tour guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer to the hotel in the city. Today, you will visit Golden Temple, Daguan Park, and Flowers Bird Market.
- Golden Temple: The temple was first built in 1602 in the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and is also known as Taihe Palace (the Hall of Supreme Harmony) and Tongwa Temple (the Bronze Tile Temple).

Day 9: Kunming (B)
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight and see off. Your wonderful tour of China has come to an end!

This tour was really wonderful! Though it was long, every stop we had recevied a warm and great service. Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Shangri-la, all beautiful places with charming scenery and rich culture. Tour guides were all very excellent and the hotels we stayed were clean and comfortable. Got to see a lot of the sights of Yunnan. Everything was so beautiful and natural. We got to see stunning views along the way, knew a lot about Chinese local ethnic minorities culture and traditional customs. A long trip but very worth it! My family and I, we are satisfied with the service, itinerary and destinations. Favorite!

We had a 9 days Yunnan tour with the knowledgeable tour guide. This tour was amazing, and took us to see the characteristic minority in China and its folk custom. The local residents are enthusiastic and welcome us to join their family to taste the typical meals. And their architectural art let us fall in love with this beautiful land. Of course, the natural landscapes are so attractive, the pure water, blue sky, even the slivery chirps of birds let us feel stay in the other world. We like this piece of land and I like to hide here to enjoy the leisure life.
