Itinerary of 6 Days China Train Tour from Shanghai to Suzhou Hangzhou Travel

Day 1: Arrival at Shanghai
Upon arrival at Shanghai, you will be met and transfer to your hotel in Shanghai. Free for the rest of the day.

Day 2: Shanghai (B, L)
1. Pick up from your hotel in Shanghai, and first visit Shanghai Museum. Then proceed to visit Nanjing Road - "Pedestrians only".
- Shanghai Museum: often ranked as China's best museum, the new building was completed in 1996 and is a modern and well-kept facility.
- Nanjing Road: is at times a pedestrian shopping street, a winding tree-lined road, and a modern thoroughfare cutting between some of Shanghai's most posh hotels.
2. After lunch, move on to Shanghai's new zone - Pudong (east of Huangpu River) and ascend Jinmao Tower to have an eye-bird's view of Shanghai city. Finally, have a one hour cruise tour on Huang Pu River.
- Huang Pu River: one of the most important rivers in Shanghai, like an undulating dragon from Wusong to the East Sea.
3. After this tour, transfer back to your hotel in Shanghai.

Day 3: Shanghai - Suzhou (B, L)
1. Pick up from your hotel in Shanghai, and first visit Yuyuan Garden. Then move on to the Old City God's Temple Bazaar.
- Yuyuan Garden: is considered one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens in the region.
- Old City God's Temple Bazaar: were rambunctious places where people would gather in front of their preferred god and pray for health and wealth, and being Shanghai, perhaps more for wealth.
2. After lunch, take bullet train to Suzhou. Arrival at Suzhou, met and transferred to your hotel in Suzhou. Free for the rest of the day.

Day 4: Suzhou - Hangzhou (B, L)
1. Pick up from your hotel in Suzhou, and first visit Lingering Garden. Then head to the Ancient City Gate and Grand Canal for outside looking.
- Lingering Garden: is famous for its exquisite beauty of the magnificent halls, various sizes, shapes, and colors of the buildings.
- Grand Canal: is the longest canal or artificial river in the world, far surpassing the Suez and Panama Canals.
2. After lunch, move on to Tiger Hill. Then have a short tour of a silk spinning factory to see how Chinese silk has been produced since the 14th century.
- Tiger Hill: is a popular attraction because of its natural beauty and historical sites.
3. After that, transfer to Suzhou Railway Station take bullet train to Hangzhou.

Day 5: Hangzhou - Shanghai (B, L, D)
1. Pick up from your hotel in Hangzhou, and first head to the wharf at West Lake, finish your cruise at Huagang Park Wharf. Then move on to Huagang Park. Continue to visit Leifeng Pagoda.
- West Lake: The pride of Hangzhou, the favorite scenic spot to escape from the hustle of the modern city.
- Leifeng Pagoda: is one of the ten famous sights of the West Lake due to the Legend of the White Snake which tells a snake became a kind-hearted beautiful girl then she fell in love with a young man named Xuxian.
2. After lunch, continue to Lingyin Temple.
- Lingyin Temple: One of the ten famous Buddhist temples in China as well as the largest and most resplendent temple in Hangzhou.
3. After dinner, transfer to Hangzhou Railway Station, take bullet train back to Shanghai. Arrival at Shanghai, met and transfer to your hotel in Shanghai.

Day 6: Shanghai (B)
Pick up from your hotel in Shanghai, and transfer to Shanghai airports or train stations. Or you are free on your own.

Definitely once in a lifetime experience! With lovely water towns everywhere we went! We were totally blown away by the beauty of those water towns, especially the one in Hangzhou. Just loved every minute of it! Never had so much fun! Best vacation ever!

We did see a lot and learnt bunch of information from the tour. My wife and I, we personally loved Hangzhou, such a nice romantic place, really calm and peaceful. When we were in West Lake, we could see beautiful lake surrounded by lots of garden. I recommend this tour to anyone wishing to get sightseeing of Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou.

This was a wonderful trip. It was a small group and we were treated very well and got to see a lot of things in 6 days. Train tour gives us a lot of time to have rest and enjoy the view out of our train window. This tour line covers Shanghai Suzhou Hangzhou where we could visit countless attractive and stunning places!
