Itinerary of 2 Days Pingyao Tour Package with Hotel

Day 1: Taiyuan to Pingyao (L)
Tour guide will pick you up from your hotel on the departure time and send you to the first destination, Jinci Temple. After enjoy the beautiful views inside the famous Jinci Temple, you will visit the next attraction which is called Compound of Qiao Family. After the tour, tour guide will send you back to the hotel.
- Jinci Temple: with long history about 1500 years, famous for its historical cultural relic and beautiful landscape.
- Compound of Qiao Family: traditional residence architecture of North China, built in 1756 in the Qing Dynasty.

Day 2: Pingyao to Departure City (B, L) On the departure time, tour guide will pick you up from the hotel and enjoy the full day trip to many famous Pingyao tourist destinations include Pingyao Ancient Town, The Ancient City Wall, The Rishengchang Draft Bank. Not only that, tour guide will also send you to visit the famous Mingqing Street.
- Pingyao Ancient Town: an outstanding example of Han nationality town in the Ming and Qing dynasties.
- The Ancient City Wall: considered the best ancient walled city in China and has a history of about 2700 years.
- The Rishengchang Draft Bank: considered as the first and also the biggest draft bank in China's history.
- The Mingqing Street: an ancient street reputed as the 'Wall Street of China' with Ming and Qing architecture.

Suggestions:
You may get to Datong from Beijing either by train or by air. Flights are available on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in Datong. If you take a train from Beijing to Datong, you may arrive at Datong at about 7:00 am and you can catch the train back to Beijing which departs Datong at about 10:20 pm.

What a beautiful ancient town in Pingyao. With this tour, we were able to explore one of the most outstanding ancient towns in China. The architecture was so old and exotic. I was really happy and satisfied with the experience visit quite remote town of the country. It like bring us back to the Ming and Dynasty era of China by standing inside the town. Priceless experience!

There were many interesting ancient places to see on this tour. The part of the tour we liked the best was Pingyao Ancient Town. We learned so much about the sites and Pingyao in general, from our friendly guide. She was very knowledgeable and also proud to share China's culture and history with the guests. Very nice tour that should be recommended!
