Introduction to the Unearthed Weapons

The unearthed weapons mainly include long weapons and long-range weapons. Long weapons are Chinese halberd, sword and spear. They are mainly made of bronze. New Findings

In February 26, 2014, in the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum Museum, the archaeologists found a complete bow in terracotta Pit 1 during the third excavation, the string is clearly visible - this is the first complete bow ever found in the terracotta site. During the third excavation of a pit in terracotta warriors site, archaeologists had cleaned out a relatively complete crossbow in a pit, bow is clearly visible, with a diameter of about 0.8 cm, surface smooth, made of non woven fabric. This is clearly the first complete bow found among the terracotta archaeological findings. After careful observation and analysis, the archaeologists speculate that the material of the string may be made of animal tendons.

There is a complete arrow found in No.1 Pit. The Qin Dynasty Warriors used bows and arrows, with many found in the pits, mostly in a bound quiver. This is a full bow, in the different parts of the painting remains still remaining, can distinguish red, black color. Experts believe that, according to the findings, they can restore a more realistic Qin crossbow. According to the kinematics of machinery and mechanical design principle, they can also calculate the archery range, in order to have a correct assessment of the Qin powerful fighting force.
