Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum

The Tower of Ming Xiaoling MausoleumMing Xiaoling Mausoleum, located in the eastern suburbs of Nanjing City, is the tomb of the first emperor of Ming Dynasty(1368-1644) and his empress. It is one of biggest imperial tombs in China. The construction of the mausoleum began in 1381 and completed in 1431.

There are two discreet sections of the mausoleum: One is the Sacred Way area and the other is the main body of the mausoleum itself.
