What is more important while visiting Xian better than visit Terracotta Army? Surely a trip to Xian that we had also cannot miss a short visit to this huge discovery in China, one of the greatest, and most famous, archaeological discoveries of all time, Terracotta Army.
So, here we booked a group tour took us to visit Terracotta Army, Banpo Museum, and North Square of Big Wild Pagoda. I was like really interest and would like to know what is Banpo Museum. So we did reserve this 1 day Xian group tour. It is a close look of Banpo Museum that you can see above.
Yes, Banpo Museum is archaeological site of Banpo that belongs to the Yangshao Culture. The ruins we can see here include residential dwellings, pottery manufacturing, burial locations and storage cellars. Museum displays of artifacts are on site.
After a short visit to the ruins of Banpo then next headed to North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda. From a distance, we could see one remarkable pagoda of China here. Then after that, we moved to Terracotta Army.
Our trip to this huge tomb complex was my favorite after all. Here one of my favorite photos where you can see almost the whole complex of Terracotta Army.
Here, there is a close up look on one spot among 8,099 life-size figures of warriors and horses were interred in the Mausoleum of the First Emperor of China. Each figures of terracotta army have their own facial expression, thought to represent real members of the emperor's army.
Qin Shi Huang (first emperor of China) was buried in a giant mausoleum near modern-day Xian. He personally ordered workers to build his burial site once he ascended the throne. Above some of ruins at Terracotta Army located at one small pit.
