The Bullfight Festival of Miao falls on Jan. 25th of the lunar calendar. It is the traditional festival of the Miao minority group in Guizhou and Yunnan provinces. By celebrating the Bullfight Festival, Miao people hope for their good harvest and good health in the whole next year.
During the fight, visitors and participants around the grassland will shout out loudly and support their ace. Different with the famous bullfighting in Spain, Miao People are not physically involved in the bullfighting.

Knife Pole Festival of Lisu held every year in the middle of the 2nd day of the second lunar month. It aims to memorialize a Han hero who taught how to make knives to the Lisu ethnic people. This breathtaking traditional festival of Lisu ethnic minority is describing how strong the spirit of the Lisu people to keep celebrates their traditional ethnic ceremony.
On the festival, "Climbing Knife Pole" and "Diving into Fire Sea" will be shown. The performers are jumping and dancing over burned coal bare-footed and half-naked on the Diving into Fire Sea performance. In the "Climbing Knife Pole" performance, performers will climb up to the knife ladder which measures 20 meters long and was tied with 36 edged knives. This unique festival has officially known as the traditional sports activities of Lisu.

Nadam is one of the most popular and important festival in Mongolian. It is a large entertainment gathering for celebrating the harvest. On the occasion, archery, horse race, and wrestling matches are held. Corban Festival also known as Eid Al-Adha falls every year on the 10th day of the 12th month on the Islamic calendar. The festival marks the end of the haj and commemorates Prophet Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail on God's command. It is one of the three major Islamic festivals which celebrated by over ten ethnic minorities in China mainly living in the western provinces of Qinghai, Gansu and Yunnan, as well as Xinjiang.
In the morning of the festival, people will take a bath, dress up and go to mosque for community worship. Some people will also prepare the sacrifice livestock for example, cows, sheep or camels for charity as well as give the relatives.

End of Ramadan or also called Eid al-Fitr is the most important Islamic festival which is celebrate the end of Ramadan (a holy month of fasting observed by Muslims). After the Eid prayer, Muslims usually celebrate it with visit their family and friend residence, preparing sweet delicacies, wearing new clothes, give gifts and forgiving each other family member for symbolize the new start of their life.

Besides the famous international beer festival in Qingdao, there is also another famous beer festival in China such as, Shenzhen Window of the World Beer Festival which will be held in Shenzhen. Drink up and have fun during the festival!

Shenzhen is situated immediately north of Hong Kong. The city is very close to Hongkong even there has border train and bus connections to Hong Kong. China is a big country which has about 56 ethnic groups each with their own culture, traditions and festivals. Each ethnic minority should have its own authentic festival different with others.

April: Water Splashing Festival for Dai Nationality

Known as Dai ethnic minority New Year, Water Splashing Festival held every year in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan province which has a particularly large Dai population. Held in the last ten days of the sixth month or early in the seventh month of the Dai Calendar (April), Water Splashing Festival usually lasts for three to five days.

The third day which is the climax of the festival is reserved for water splashing. On that day, a symbolic water splashing ritual called 'Bathing the Buddha' will also be held. Signifying good luck and health, the traditional splashing of water is guaranteed to turn into a massive battle between all the participants.

One of the most popular festivals in southwest China, the Torch Festival is celebrated by Yi ethnic minority and held in July according to the Yi's traditional calendar. The biggest Torch Festival held in Liangshan, home to one of China's largest Yi communities, southwest Sichuan.

The whole festival features traditional music and three days of dancing, bull fighting, fireworks, a market fair and, of course, lots of bonfires. People will sit, sing and dance around a large bonfire the whole night. They believe a good harvest and luck will come for the whole next year.

Every year around mid November, China's Miao ethnic minority held this New Year Festival of Miao Ethnic Minority mainly in Leishan County, Guizhou province. The festival has become the most important traditional festival among Miao people.

The Miao people have a long history in music and dance. They are fond of playing the Lusheng dance, with very high skills. So during the festival, some of performers will play music instruments and dance during the celebration wearing their own traditional costume. Miao women usually wear elaborate traditional garb attend the celebration of Miaonian Festival. In additional, visitors also can listen to traditional music played on the lusheng, a multi-piped bamboo instrument.

The Dong ethnic minority has a population of nearly 3 million and they live mainly around Guizhou, Hunan, and Hubei Provinces. This minority has preserved their traditional culture and customs, from their architecture style which decorated include bridge and famous drum towers to their traditional food.

In the Dong New Year Festival, people will celebrate it with start to clean their house as well as make traditional glutinous rice cakes which usually also called ciba and other traditional food include chicken and pickled carp. The culmination of the festival is the water buffalo fight, which only uses specially trained animals.

The Dong New Year Festival is mainly celebrated by the Dong people who live in the southeastern part of Guizhou Province. The annual event held from the first to the 11th day of the 11th month of the lunar calendar. The biggest Dong New Year's Festival takes place in Qiandongnan County, Guizhou province.
