Day 01: Arrival at Beijing
Arrive at Beijing. Be met & transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.
Day 02: Beijing (B, L, D)
Full day trip to the Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy a Peking Duck Banquet for dinner and Peking Opera Show in the evening.
- The Tian'anmen Square: The largest city square in the world.
- The Forbidden City: The largest imperial palace in China during the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years.
- The Temple of Heaven: The place where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's blessings on the whole nation.
Day 03: Beijing (B, L,D)
Full day trip to the Great Wall, Ming Tomb and Summer Palace.
- The Great Wall: One of the seven wonders in the world and the symbol of China. (60 miles away from downtown, about one and half hour's drive).
- The Ming Tomb: The only underground tomb of the thirteen tombs of the emperors in the Ming Dynasty.
- The Summer Palace: The largest and best-preserved royal garden in China with a history of over 800 years.
Day 04: Beijing - Lhasa (B, D)
Fly to Lhasa and pick up at the airport and transfet to the hotel.
Day 05: Lhasa (B, L, D)
Visit the magnificent Potala Palace, the Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka Park and a local Tibetan family. Dinner will be served at a local best Sichuan cuisine restaurant, a la carte style.
- Potala Palace: Former winter home of the Dalai Lama, a vast, awe-inspiring maze of corridors and stairs leading through countless rooms of richly decorated statues, tombs, murals and antiques.
- Norbulingka: Norbulingka means "Jeweled Garden". It was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama and later served the whole governmental administration.
- Sera Monastery: It is known as one of the three greatest monasteries of Tibet.
Day 06: Lhasa (B, L, D)
Visit the Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, the Tibet Museum, the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital and the Carpet Factory. Dinner is served at your hotel.
- Jokhang Temple: Smaller and more manageable than the Potala, this 4-storey, golden-roofed temple is at the heart of a rich and living Tibetan Buddhism. Many locals pray here regularly; the Temple is surrounded by Barkhor Street and thronged with pilgrims and visitors.
- Barkhor Street: Watch the pilgrims, wearing local dress from many different parts of Tibet, as they circle clockwise around Jokhang Temple with prayer wheels, or prostrate themselves near the front gate.
Day 07: Lhasa - Xian (B, L,D)
Fly to Xian. Pick you up at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Ancient City Wall on the way.
- Xian Ancient City Wall: Xi'an was originally a walled city, and even today the wall is considered a landmark dividing the city into the inner part and the outer part.
Day 08: Xian (B, L, D)
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. To avoid having the poor food at the site, you will take highway back to downtown to have lunch at a well-known Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This evening you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Show.
- The Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum: The greatest archaeological findings of the century: the army of terra-cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin's tomb.
- The Big Wild Goose Pagoda: The pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India.
- Tang Dynasty Show: It presents the palace dances and sings in the Tang Dynasty when Xi'an was the capital.
Day 09: Xian - Guilin (B, L)
Visit the Provincial Museum. After lunch, fly to Guilin, pick you up at the ariport and transfer to the hotel. The evening delight is to enjoy the Ethnic Songs and Dances at Lijiang Theatre after dinner.
- The Provincial Museum: One of the main museums in China which holds numerous unearthed cultural relics of China.
Day 10: Guilin - Yangshuo (B, L)
Enduring memories are created today as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Upon arrival in Yangshuo, a short bicycle trip to the countryside will then be arranged. You will visit a local villager's home to experience the farmer's lifestyle there. Alternatively, you can take our electric car instead of taking bicycles.
- Li River Cruise: Depart in the morning. Be transferred for 4.5 hours wonderful cruise.You will enjoy the most beautiful mountains and water. Disembark at the one-thousand-year-old town Yangshuo in the afternoon. Have a short exploration to the old town before being transferred back to hotel.
- Yangshuo: it is situated 65 kilometers to the southeast of Guilin, is an ancient city with a history of over 1,000 years.
Day 11: Yangshuo - Guilin (B, L)
Morning is free. Return to Guilin, and visit theReed Flute Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill in the afternoon.
- Reed Flute Cave: It is Guilin's largest and most impressive cave. Its name is explained by the fact that reeds for making flutes and pipes have been grown in this region since ancient times. This dripstone cave is 790 feet deep, and a visitor will walk for some 550 yards through a zigzagging sea of stalactites and stalagmites in dazzling colors.
- The Seven Stars Park: it is called “Seven Stars” Park because four peaks on Putuo Hill in the mountain and the three peaks on Crescent Hill in the mountain formed the main part of the park replicate the pattern of the seven stars in the Ursa Major constellation (Great bear or Big Dipper).
- Elephant Trunk Hill: Located between the Li River and the Peach Blossom River, the whole hill looks like a giant elephant with a long trunk, it is the symbol of Guilin city.
Day 12: Guilin - Chongqing (B, L)
Fly to Chongqing and pick you up. After lunch, visit the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo, the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell and Ci Qi Kou. Check in at the cruise ship.
Day 13: Yangtze River (B, L, D )
The cruise starts at 9:00. Excursion to Snowy Jade Cave or Fengdu (Ghost city), a must- shore excursion site on the Yangtze cruise.
- Fengdu (Ghost city): The Ghost City Fengdu, which also called the "City of Ghosts" on the Ming Hill is 170 km from the east of Chongqing with a history of 1,900 years.
Day 14: Yangtze River (B, L, D )
Excursion to Baidicheng. Passing Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge, Drifting in the Shennong Stream. Passing Dam Shiplock, the Three Gorges Dam will be the largest hydropower station and dam in the world.
- Qutang Gorge: Below White Emperor City you will enter Qutang Gorge, the first of the three gorges of the Yangtze River, and the one that is famous for its sheer and spectacular precipices.
- Wu Gorge: it is the most beautiful section of the Yangtze River, flanked by high peaks that are often capped by fog or clouds.
- Shennong Stream: Shennong Stream, a tributary of the Yangtze River, rises in the southern part of the Shennongjia Natural Reserve.
- Three Gorges Dam: The Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River has been a dream for generations and will be one of the largest construction projects ever undertaken by mankind.
Day 15: Yichang - Shanghai by air (B, L)
Passing Xiling Gorge. Arrival at Yichang, on the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Our local tour guide will meet you at the port. After lunch, transferred to the Yichang Airport. Take the afternoon flight for Shanghai. Met and transferred to your hotel in Shanghai.
- Xiling Gorge: Comprising many dangerous rapids and currents, Xiling Gorge starts at Badong County and zigzags for 76 kilometers (47 miles) down to the Nanjin Pass in Yichang.
Day 16: Shanghai (B, L, D)
Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, transfer you to the Bund area, where you will take a cruise tour on the
Huangpu River. The cruise will start at 14:00, reach the Wusongkou pier and then get back to the Bund at 17:00. Leave you some free time to explore the Bund area on your own. Tonight an a la carte farewell dinner is served at Central Hotel, whose restaurant Wang Bao He has a history of around 260 years and is the best place to serve Shanghai Cuisine. The memorable dinner will be followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre.
- Shanghai Museum: The biggest museum in China, with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics. The museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy.
- Yuyuan Garden: it is a famous classical garden located in Anren street, Shanghai.
- The Bund: The former foreign settlement, ranged along with imposing buildings of the colonial period.
Day 17: Shanghai / End ( B)
Transfer to airport for departure or free on your own.
