Day 01: Arrival at Beijing
Arrive at Beijing. Be met & transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.
Day 02: Beijing (B, L, D)
Full day trip to the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy a Peking Duck Banquet for dinner and Peking Opera Show in the evening.
- The Tiananmen Square: The largest city square in the world.
- The Forbidden City: The largest imperial palace in China during the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years.
- The Temple of Heaven: The place where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's blessings on the whole nation.
Day 03: Beijing (B, L)
Full day trip to the Great Wall, the Sacred Road and Ming Tomb. The full day tour will be concluded after visit the Bird Nest (Olympic National Stadium) and the Water Cube (Olympic Aquatic Center).
- The Great Wall: One of the seven wonders in the world and the symbol of China.
(60 miles away from downtown, about one and half hour's drive).
- The Ming Tomb: The only underground tomb of the thirteen tombs of the emperors in the Ming Dynasty.
Day 04: Beijing - Xian (B, L)
Visit the Summer Palace. Drive to Beijing capital airport, see off, take afternoon flight to Xian. Arrive in Xian. Be met & transferred to your hotel. Visit the Ancient City Wall on the way to the hotel.
- The Summer Palace: The largest and best-preserved royal garden in China with a history of over 800 years.
- The Ancient City Wall: An extension of the old Tang Dynasty structure boasting the most complete city wall that survives through Chinese long history.
Day 05: Xian (B, L)
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. In the afternoon, visit the Great Mosque and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This evening you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Show.
- The Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum: The greatest archaeological findings of the century: the army of terra-cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin's tomb.
- Great Mosque: As the symbol of the old-line Xian, Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists.
- The Big Wild Goose Pagoda: The pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India.
- Tang Dynasty Show: It presents the palace dances and sings in the Tang Dynasty when Xian was the capital.
Day 06: Xian - Chongqing (B, L)
Visit the Provincial Museum, fly to Chongqing in the afternoon. Have a brief city tour to the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo if time allows. Then transfer to the Cruises.
- The Provincial Museum: One of the main museums in China which holds numerous unearthed cultural relics of China.
Day 07: Yangtze River (B, L, D)
The cruise starts at 9:00. Excursion to Fengdu (Ghost city), a must- shore excursion site on the Yangtze cruise.
- Fengdu (Ghost city): The Ghost City Fengdu, which also called the "City of Ghosts" on the Ming Hill is 170 km from the east of Chongqing with a history of 1,900 years.
Day 08: Yangtze River (B, L, D )
Excursion to Baidicheng. Passing Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge, Drifting in the Shennong Stream. Passing Dam
Shiplock, the Xiling Gorge will be the largest hydropower station and dam in the world.
- Qutang Gorge: Below White Emperor City you will enter Qutang Gorge, the first of the three gorges of the Yangtze River, and the one that is famous for its sheer and spectacular precipices.
- Wu Gorge: it is the most beautiful section of the Yangtze River, flanked by high peaks that are often capped by fog or clouds.
- Shennong Stream: Shennong Stream, a tributary of the Yangtze River, rises in the southern part of the Shennongjia Natural Reserve.
- Xiling Gorge: Comprising many dangerous rapids and currents, Xiling Gorge starts at Badong County and zigzags for 76 kilometers (47 miles) down to the Nanjin Pass in Yichang.
Day 09: Yichang-Shanghai (B, L)
Disembark to marvel at the Three Gorges Dam, the largest water conservancy project in the world. Arrival at Yichang, fly to Shanghai. Arrival at Shanghai, transfer to the hotel.
- Three Gorges Dam: The Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River has been a dream for generations and will be one of the largest construction projects ever undertaken by mankind.
Day 10: Shanghai (B, L)
Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. Visit the Bund and Nanjing Road.
- Shanghai Museum: The biggest museum in China, with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics. The museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy.
- Yuyuan Garden: it is a famous classical garden located in Anren Street, Shanghai.
- The Bund: The former foreign settlement, ranged along with imposing buildings of the colonial period.
- Nanjing Road: The busiest shopping street in Shanghai.
- Huangpu River: it is the most important shipping artery of Shanghai, wriggles like an undulating muddy dragon from the mouth of the Yangtze River in Wusong to the East China Sea.
Day 11: Departure from Shanghai (B)
See off.
