[This is an economical trip between the two big cities. You can know more about Beijing and Shanghai after this train travel.]

Tiananmen SquareDay 1: Arrival at Beijing
Arrive in Beijing. Be met and transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 2: Beijing (B, L)
Take full day trip to Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, and Temple of Heaven. On the way to the Temple of Heaven, you will have a chance to visit the Chinese traditional medicine culture.
In the evening (7:15~8:30PM), enjoy the Peking Opera Show(or Chinese Acrobat, or Chinese Kongfu show, choose one show from these three options, depending on your interest.)

- Tiananmen Square: The largest city square in the world.

- Forbidden City: The largest imperial palace in China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties with a history of 600 years.

- Temple of Heaven: The place where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's bless of the whole nation.

Day 3: Beijing (B, L, D)
Visit the Badaling Great Wall. Then we will visit a large scale jade processing factory. There is workshop for demonstration of Jade carving, the visit will help you to know the processes of Chinese jade carving and Chinese jade culture. You may also take photo in the huge Jade exhibition hall or buy some jade carving souvenir as you like. After lunch, visit Ming Tomb and Sacred road. Enjoy a  Peking Duck dinner in the most famous Quanjude Restaurant.

- Badaling Great Wall: One of the seven wonders in the world and the one of the symbols of China.

Summer Palace- Ming Tomb: The best preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history, and visiting Changling, the largest one, Emperor Yongle's Tomb (about 2 hours).

Day 4: Beijing - Shanghai (B, L)
Visit the Summer Palace. Visit a Chinese fresh water pearl shop near Summer Palace to do some shopping. It a nice place to buy a necklace or bracelet. It is very good gift from China. Be transferred to the railway station for your train to Shanghai: Overnight train (soft sleeper,Z13). Or take afternoon flight to Shanghai. And be transfer to hotel at arrival.

- Summer Palace: The largest and best-preserved royal garden in China with a history of over 800 years. Visit scenic spots: 1. East palace gate, 2. the hall of benevolence and longevity, 3. hall of jade billows, 4. the hall of joyful longevity, 5. the covered walkway, 6. the marble boat, etc.

Day 5: Shanghai (B, L)
Upon arrival if take train, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Visit Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden, Yu Market, Oriental Pear TV Tower, the Bund and Nanjing Road.

- Shanghai Museum: The biggest museum in China, with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art and cultural relics. The museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy.

- Yu Garden: It is characteristic of the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty and it used to be a private garden with 400 years' history. In front of the garden, there is a market called Yu Market.

- Oriental Pear TV Tower: Standing by the Huangpu River with 468 meters high, Orental Pearl TV Tower is the highest TV Tower in Asia.Zhouzhuang

- The Bund: The Bund, also called the Zhongshan Road, is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years.

- Nanjing Road: Nanjing Road is China's premier shopping street, it is 3.4-mile-long, starts at the Bund in the east and ends in the west at the junction of Jing'an Temple and Yan'an West Street.

Day 6: Shanghai - Zhouzhuang - Suzhou (B, L)
Pick you up from your hotel and transfer to Zhouzhuang (2hrs driving), visit Water-Town Zhouzhuang: Double Bridge, Mi Pavilion, Shen's house etc. Then transfer to Suzhou (1hr driving). Upon arrival, visit Lingering Garden and No. 1 silk factory. Drive back to Shanghai.

- Zhouzhuang: Zhouzhuang lies between Shanghai and Suzhou, is an ancient town of Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, where abounds with rivers and lakes.

Humble Administrator's GardenDay 7: Shanghai - Hangzhou (B, L)
Drive to Hangzhou to visit West Lake, Lingyin & Peak from afar Scenic Area, Six Harmony Pagoda, Tiger Spring and Mei Jia Wu Tea Village. Drive back to Shanghai.

- Lingyin Temple: Lingyin Temple is found at the northwest of West Lake. It is one of the ten famous Buddhist temples in China.

- Feilai Peak: Feilai Peak is another highlight of Lingyin Temple. On its crag are 345 carved Buddhist statues made in the Five Dynasties Period (907 AD - 960 AD), Song (960 AD -1279 AD) and Yuan (1279 AD -1368 AD) dynasties.

- Six-Harmony Pagoda: The Six Harmonies Pagoda is located on Yuelun Hill overlooking the Qiantang River, and south of West Lake (Xi Hu) and is one of the true masterpieces of ancient Chinese architectures.

- Tiger Spring: Hupao Spring is ranked the third in China, according to scientific research on the quality of the water of the spring, followed by Leng Spring in Zhejiang and Hui Spring in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province.

Day 8: Hangzhou - Shanghai (B)
Transfer to airport for your departure flight.
