Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will meet you after you pass the baggage claim area at Beijing Airport and will transfer you to the well-located hotel. The rest of the day will be free time.

Day 02: Beijing (B, L, D)
Visit Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the  Temple of Heaven. A Beijing Duck dinner will be served at a famous restaurant followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre.

Day 03: Beijing (B, L)
Visit the Badaling Great Wall, the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. On the way back to downtown, drive by the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium). You will see its appearance at a distance.

Day 04: Beijing - Urumqi (B)
Visit the Summer Palace. Take a flight to Urumqi and transfer to the hotel.

Day 05: Urumqi - Korla (B)
Drive to Korla and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Tiemen Pass.

- Tiemen Pass: As one of 26 famous passes in China, Tiemen Pass was a natural barrier between South and North of Xinjiang. It was also an important strategic passage of Silk Road and got its name for it as solid and firm as an iron gate. On the both sides are the steep and bold cliffs while the torrential Kongque River (Peacock River) runs roughly downwards. Due to its advantaged position, it is hard to aggress and capture it. It exercised great military function in ancient time, and all the masters tried to conquer it. Nowadays, it may look like a bit desolated.

Day 06: Korla - Kuqa (B)
Drive to Kuqa and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Subashi Ruins.

Day 07: Kuqa - Aksu (B)
Visit the Kizil Thousand-Buddha Caves. Drive to Aksu and transfer to the hotel.

Day 08: Aksu - Kashgar (B)
Drive to Kashgar and transfer to the local best hotel.

Day 09: Kashgar - Karakuri Lake - Kashgar (B)
Drive to Karakuri Lake and have a visit there. Drive back to Kashgar and transfer to the local best hotel. (Tips: Karakuri Lake, 3,600 meters above the sea level, lies at the foot of mountain Muztagata. Due to the sharp elevation of altitude, you may feel sickness on the way. En route, you may come across some vendors selling fruits or Nang (Chinese bread) and we suggest you buy some to take with. To keep chewing something or eating some fruits can make you easy and feel better to some extent.)

- Karakuri Lake: The lake sits at an elevation of 3,600 meters above the sea level and is surrounded by a series of mountains. The Mount Muztagata, “the Father of Iceberg”, on the east side of the lake reflecting its white capped peaks on the blue lakefront, compose a splendid landscape painting. While the sun rising, the color of the lake changes from time to time, from light blue to golden yellow to light pink to different colors accordingly. It feels like a fairyland.

Day 10: Kashgar (B)
Visit the famous Sunday Market, the Id Kah Mosque and the Abakh Khoja Tomb.

Day 11: Kashgar - Hetian (B)
Drive to Hetian. Visit the Yarkant King Mausoleum and the Yingisar Uigur Knife Making. Stay overnight at the local hotel.(Tips: Hetain earns its fame in the world by virtue of its rich jade products and breeds of tasty fruits. People claim that you can find jade in every corner in Hetian, which reflects the great production of jade in Hetian. Generally, the jade is excavated from the Yurungkax River banks. Due to the area's distinctive climate temperature difference, the fruits in Hetian are much sweeter and more fragrant than those in other regions. The cantaloupes are one of the most famous fruits. Visit Hetian in the harvest season and you can see and learn more about their excellent fruits.)

Day 12: Hetian - Minfeng  (B)
Visit the Silk Village, see a hundred years' old walnut tree and learn about paper making. On the way to Minfeng, you can visit a local bazaar and see the unique minority people's costume in Yutian city. Stay at a local hotel for overnight.

Day 13: Minfeng - Korla (B)
Drive to Korla through the Taklamakan Desert and enjoy the scenery of sand dunes. Stay overnight at the local hotel.(Tips: It takes you about 7 or 8 hours driving on the road. You will be driven through the second largest desert by the longest desert road in the world. On the way, you can enjoy the magnificent scene of Taklamakan Desert and also forests of desert poplars which have lived without water over hundreds of years. At noon, you will have your lunch near Tarim River. Because you will go through the desert for a whole day, it is advisable to wear a pair of sunglasses, bring enough water and also protect your camera well from sandstorm.)

- Taklamakan Desert: As the second largest desert in the world, Taklamakan covers an area of 33, 700 square kilometers (over 13 square miles). In Uyghur, Taklamakan means you can get in but never out, so the desert is also called "Sea of Death". Actually, there are densely planted poplars in the desert along rivers, forming a "green corridor" in it.

Day 14: Korla - Turpan (B)
Drive to Turpan and transfer to the hotel.

Day 15: Turpan (B)
Visit the Baizikeli Thousand Buddha Cave, the Gaochang Ruins and the Flaming Hill.

Day 16: Turpan - Dunhuang (B)
Visit the Jiaohe Ruins, the Karez Well and the Sugong Pagoda. Take an overnight soft sleeper train to Dunhuang.

Day 17: Dunhuang
You will be picked up at the railway station and transferred to the hotel. Breakfast will be your choice. Visit the Mogao Grottoes and the Dunhuang Museum.

Day 18: Dunhuang - Xian (B)
You will experience a short camel-ride along the Echoing-Sand Dune to reach the Crescent Spring. Take a flight to Xian and visit the City Wall on the way to the hotel.

Day 19: Xian (B, L)
Visit the Terra Cotta Warriors. To avoid having the poor food at the site, you will take the highway back to downtown to have lunch at a well-known Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Enjoy the Tang Dynasty Show in the evening.

Day 20: Xian - Shanghai (B, L)
Visit the Great Mosque and a local family in the morning. After enjoying the a la carte lunch at a local famous restaurant, take a flight to Shanghai and be transferred to the hotel.

Day 21: Shanghai (B, L)
Visit the Shanghai Museum, Yuyuan Garden, The Bund and Nanjing Road.

Day 22: Departure from Shanghai (B)
See off.
