Day 01: Arrival at Beijing
Arrive at Beijing. Be met & transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy the Peking Duck Dinner and Peking Opera in the evening.

- The Tiananmen Square: The largest city square in the world.

- The Forbidden City: The largest imperial palace in China during the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years.

- The Temple of Heaven: The place where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's blessings on the whole nation.

Day 3: Beijing (B, L)
Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site restaurants, you will be driven to have Sichuan food at a local popular restaurant. Visit the Sacred Way, the Ming Tomb, the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) in the afternoon.

- The Badaling Great Wall: One of the seven wonders in the world and the symbol of China. (60 miles away from downtown, about one and half hour's drive).

- The Ming Tomb: The only underground tomb of the thirteen tombs of the emperors in the Ming Dynasty.

- The Sacred Road: The road is guarded on both sides with stone statues by which the ancient emperors went to hold a memorial ceremony for the ancestors.

Day 4: Beijing - Xian (B, L)the panda in snow in Beijing zoo
Visit Summer Palace and Beijing Zoo. Fly to Xian, pick you up at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

- Summer Palace: it is located on the northwest outskirts of Beijing. It is the best preserved imperial garden in the world and the largest of its kind that still in existence in China today.

- Beijing Zoo: Beijing Zoo was initially named Ten Thousand Animal Garden which was built in 1908, proving that it already had a history of more than 90 years.

Day 5: Xian (B, L)
Visit the Terra Cotta Warriors. To avoid having the poor food at the site, you will take highway back to downtown to have lunch at a well-known Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and City Wall. This evening you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Show.

- The Terra Cotta Warriors: The greatest archaeological findings of the century. The army of terra-cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin's tomb.

-The Big Wild Goose Pagoda: The pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India.

- City Wall: Xian was originally a walled city, and even today the wall is considered a landmark dividing the city into the inner part and the outer part.

Day 06: Xian - Lhasa (B)
Visit the Hanyangling Museum on the way to the airport. Fly to Lhasa and transfer to the hotel.

- Hanyangling Museum: The Mausoleum of the Western Han Emperor, Liu Qi, is located at Zhanjiawan Village, about 20 kilometers (12 miles) north of Xian City, Shaanxi Province.

Day 07: Lhasa (B)
Visit the magnificent Potala Palace, the Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka Park and a local Tibetan family. 

- Potala Palace: Former winter home of the Dalai Lama, a vast, awe-inspiring maze of corridors and stairs leading through countless rooms of richly decorated statues, tombs, murals and antiques.

- Sera Monastery: It is known as one of the three greatest monasteries of Tibet.

- Norbulingka: Norbulingka means "Jeweled Garden". It was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama and later served the whole governmental administration.

Day 08: Lhasa (B)

- Jokhang Temple: Smaller and more manageable than the Potala, this 4-storey, golden-roofed temple is at the heart of a rich and living Tibetan Buddhism. Many locals pray here regularly; the Temple is surrounded by Barkhor Street and thronged with pilgrims and visitors.

- Barkhor Street: Watch the pilgrims, wearing local dress from many different parts of Tibet, as they circle clockwise around Jokhang Temple with prayer wheels, or prostrate themselves near the front gate.

Day 09: Lhasa - Lanzhou (B)
After having breakfast at the hotel, take a soft sleeper train to Lanzhou. Lunch and dinner are on your own.

(Tips: It takes more or less 28 hours from Lhasa to Lanzhou by train. That means you will spend the whole day on your own. Since there is only a limited choice of food on the train, while the flavor is just so-so, you are then advised to prepare some fast food and snacks in advance. Riding the railway of the highest elevation in the world should bring much excitement and wonder to your trip.)

Day 10: Lanzhou
Arrive in Lanzhou in the early afternoon. Pick you up at Lanzhou railway station and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Waterwheel Garden and the Gansu Provincial Museum if time permits. Full board is on your own.

- Waterwheel Garden: The garden covers an area of 1.45 hectares (3.58 acres) and is comprised of two waterwheels, a cofferdam, the recreation area and a house of water mill.

Day 11: Lanzhou - Chongqing (B, L, D)
Visit the Binglingsi Grottoes. Take a flight to Chongqing. After having a rich buffet dinner at the hotel, check in at the Yangtze cruise ship.

- Binglingsi Grottoes: ten thousand Buddhas there await your exploration. Bingling means "ten thousand Buddhas" in Tibetan language. It is a cluster of Buddhas that are situated on the steep cliff. Each statue is sculpted with unique posture and facial expression. In totality, 183 caves with 694 stone sculptures and 82 clay figures are in good preservation.

Day 12: Yangtze River (B, L, D )
The cruise starts at 9:00. Excursion to Fengdu (Ghost city), a must- shore excursion site on the Yangtze cruise.

- Fengdu (Ghost city): The Ghost City Fengdu, which also called the "City of Ghosts" on the Ming Hill is 170 km from the east of Chongqing with a history of 1,900 years.

Day 13: Yangtze River (B, L, D )
Excursion to Baidicheng. Passing Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge, Drifting in the Shennong Stream. Passing Dam Shiplock, the Three Gorges Dam will be the largest hydropower station and dam in the world.

- Qutang Gorge: Below White Emperor City you will enter Qutang Gorge, the first of the three gorges of the Yangtze River, and the one that is famous for its sheer and spectacular precipices.

Wu Gorge: it is the most beautiful section of the Yangtze River, flanked by high peaks that are often capped by fog or clouds.

- Three Gorges Dam: The Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River has been a dream for generations and will be one of the largest construction projects ever undertaken by mankind. 

Day 14: Yichang - Shanghai by air (B, L)
Passing Xiling Gorge. Arrival at Yichang, on the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Our local tour guide will meet you at the port. After lunch, transferred to the Yichang Airport. Take the afternoon flight for Shanghai. Met and transferred to your hotel in Shanghai.

- Xiling Gorge: Comprising many dangerous rapids and currents, Xiling Gorge starts at Badong County and zigzags for 76 kilometers (47 miles) down to the Nanjin Pass in Yichang.

Day 15: Shanghai (B, L, D)
Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, transfer you to the Bund area, where you will take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. The cruise will start at 14:00, reach the Wusongkou pier and then get back to the Bund at 17:00. Leave you some free time to explore the Bund area on your own. Tonight an a la carte farewell dinner is served at Central Hotel, whose restaurant Wang Bao He has a history of around 260 years and is the best place to serve Shanghai Cuisine. The memorable dinner will be followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre.

- Shanghai Museum: The biggest museum in China, with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics. The museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy.

- Yuyuan Garden: it is a famous classical garden located in Anren Street, Shanghai.the outside view of Shanghai museum

- The Bund: The former foreign settlement, ranged along with imposing buildings of the colonial period.

- Nanjing Road: The busiest shopping street in Shanghai.

- Huangpu River: it is the most important shipping artery of Shanghai, wriggles like an undulating muddy dragon from the mouth of the Yangtze River in Wusong to the East China Sea.

Day 16:  Shanghai / End  (B)
Transfer to airport for departure or free on your own.
