Depart Time: every day;
Start from Beijing or Shanghai, the rate is the same.

Day 1: Arrive at Beijing
Arrive at Beijing. Be met & transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 2: Beijing (B, L, D)
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy the Peking Duck Dinner and Peking Opera in the evening.

- The Tiananmen Square: The largest city square in the world.

- The Forbidden City: The largest imperial palace in China during the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years.

- The Temple of Heaven: The place where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's blessings on the whole nation.

Day 3: Beijing (B, L)
Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site restaurants, you will be driven to have Sichuan food at a local popular restaurant. Visit the Sacred Way, the Ming Tomb, the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium), You will see its appearance at a distance. 

- The Badaling Great Wall: One of the seven wonders in the world and the symbol of China. (60 miles away from downtown, about one and half hour's drive).

- The Ming Tomb: The only underground tomb of the thirteen tombs of the emperors in the Ming Dynasty.

- The Sacred Road: The road is guarded on both sides with stone statues by which the ancient emperors went to hold a memorial ceremony for the ancestors.

Day 4: Beijing - Lhasa – Tsetang (B)
Take a morning flight to Lhasa where your local guide will pick you up outside the Arrival Hall of the airport and transfer you to check in the hotel in Tsetang. 

Day 05: Tsetang - Lhasa (B)
Today you will take a ferry across the Yarlong Tsangpo River to visit the Samye Monastery which was the first Buddhist monastery built in Tibet. After the visit transfer to Lhasa and check in the hotel.

Day 06: Lhasa (B)
Visit the Tibet Museum,  the Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka and Carpet Factory.
 
- Sera Monastery: It is known as one of the three greatest monasteries of Tibet.

- Norbulingka: Norbulingka means "Jeweled Garden". It was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama and later served the whole governmental administration.

Day 07: Lhasa (B)
Visit the magnificent Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street. the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital.

- Potala Palace: Former winter home of the Dalai Lama, a vast, awe-inspiring maze of corridors and stairs leading through countless rooms of richly decorated statues, tombs, murals and antiques.

- Jokhang Temple: Smaller and more manageable than the Potala, this 4-storey, golden-roofed temple is at the heart of a rich and living Tibetan Buddhism. Many locals pray here regularly; the Temple is surrounded by Barkhor Street and thronged with pilgrims and visitors.

- Barkhor Street: Watch the pilgrims, wearing local dress from many different parts of Tibet, as they circle clockwise around Jokhang Temple with prayer wheels, or prostrate themselves near the front gate.

Day 08: Lhasa - Shangri-La  (B)
On the way to the airport, you will visit a Tibetan family to have a close touch with the locals and taste the special butter tea. Then fly to Shangri-la, Yunnan Province, where your local tour guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to check in the hotel.

 Day 09: Shangri-La (B)
You will enjoy the charming landscape at the Bita Lake and the Shudu Lake. On the way back, you will stop over at the Songzanlin Monastery which is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan Province.

Day 10: Shangri-La - Lijiang (B)
Transfer you to Lijiang and visit Tiger Leaping Gorge and Stone Drum Town which is named after the drum-shaped marble stele in the town.

Day 11: Lijiang (B)
In the morning, you will first go to the Baisha Village. After visiting a local Naxi family, continue to the Baisha Murals.  You will then visit the Former Residence of Joseph Rock in Yuhu Village, to learn about the legendary life of this Austrian-American explorer. You will have some free time to explore the old town in the afternoon.

Day 12: Lijiang (B)
The entire day is free for you to make your own arrangement to explore the ancient town. Known as one of the four best-preserved ancient towns in China, Lijiang Old Town is the only one which has no city wall. 

Day 13: Lijiang - Kunming (B)
Transfer you to the hotel and take flight to Kungming. The tour guide will pick you up from the airport and take you visit Stone Forest. Then proceed to the Flowers and Birds Market. You can find various kinds of flowers from all over the world in the market, as well as the lovely golden fish.

Day 14: Kunming - Shanghai (B)
Transfer you to the airport and take flight to Shanghai. Your local guide will meet you at Shanghai airport and help you check in the hotel. The rest of the day is for you  toexplore the city on your own.

Day 15: Shanghai (B, L)
Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, transfer you to the Bund area, where you will take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. The cruise will start at 14:00, reach the Wusongkou pier and then get back to the Bund at 17:00. Leave you some free time to explore the Bund area on your own. 

- Shanghai Museum: The biggest museum in China, with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics. The museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy.

- Yuyuan Garden: it is a famous classical garden located in Anren Street, Shanghai.

- The Bund: The former foreign settlement, ranged along with imposing buildings of the colonial period.

- Nanjing Road: The busiest shopping street in Shanghai.

- Huangpu River: it is the most important shipping artery of Shanghai, wriggles like an undulating muddy dragon from the mouth of the Yangtze River in Wusong to the East China Sea.

Day 16: Departure from Shanghai (B)
See off.
