Day 1: Arrive at Beijing
Arrive at Beijing. Be met & transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 2: Beijing (B, L, D)
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy the Peking Duck Dinner and Peking Opera in the evening.

- The Tiananmen Square: The largest city square in the world.

- The Forbidden City: The largest imperial palace in China during the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years.

- The Temple of Heaven: The place where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's blessings on the whole nation.

Day 3: Beijing (B, L)
Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site restaurants, you will be driven to have Sichuan food at a local popular restaurant. Visit the Sacred Way, the Ming Tomb, the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) and the Water Cube (Olympic Aquatic Center) in the afternoon.

- The Badaling Great Wall: One of the seven wonders in the world and the symbol of China. (60 miles away from downtown, about one and half hour's drive).

- The Ming Tomb: The only underground tomb of the thirteen tombs of the emperors in the Ming Dynasty.

- The Sacred Road: The road is guarded on both sides with stone statues by which the ancient emperors went to hold a memorial ceremony for the ancestors.

Day 4: Beijing - Lhasa (B)
Fly to Lhasa in the morning, then transfer to the hotel in Lhasa.

Day 05: Lhasa (B)
Visit the magnificent Potala Palace, the Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka Park and a local Tibetan family.

- Potala Palace: Former winter home of the Dalai Lama, a vast, awe-inspiring maze of corridors and stairs leading through countless rooms of richly decorated statues, tombs, murals and antiques.

- Sera Monastery: It is known as one of the three greatest monasteries of Tibet.

- Norbulingka: Norbulingka means "Jeweled Garden". It was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama and later served the whole governmental administration.

Day 06: Lhasa (B)
Visit the Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, the Tibet Museum, the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital and the Carpet Factory.

- Jokhang Temple: Smaller and more manageable than the Potala, this 4-storey, golden-roofed temple is at the heart of a rich and living Tibetan Buddhism. Many locals pray here regularly; the Temple is surrounded by Barkhor Street and thronged with pilgrims and visitors.

- Barkhor Street: Watch the pilgrims, wearing local dress from many different parts of Tibet, as they circle clockwise around Jokhang Temple with prayer wheels, or prostrate themselves near the front gate.

Day 07: Lhasa - Shangri-La (B)
Visit a Tibetan family on the way to the airport. Take a flight to Shangri-La and transfer to the hotel.

Day 08: Shangri-La (B, L)
Visit the Bita Lake and the Shudu Lake. On the way back, visit the Songzanlin Monastery.

- Bita Lake: Bitahai Lake lies in the east of Shangri-La County, it is over 3500 meters (about 3828 yards) above sea level.

- Songzanlin Monastery: the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan. It was originally built in 1679. Constructed in traditional Tibetan style, it is famed as the small-sized Potala Palace. The Gedong festival held by Tibetans on Nov 29th in the lunar calendar is mysterious and attractive.

Day 09: Shangri-La - Lijiang (B, L)
On the way to Lijiang, visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge, the First Bend of the Yangtze River and the Stone Drum Town. Transfer to the hotel in the old town of Lijiang.

- Tiger Leaping Gorge: The Tiger Leaping Gorge is about 100 kilometers(62 miles) northwest of Lijiang Old Town lying between Jade Dragon Snow Mountain(Yulong Xueshan) and Haba Snow Mountain (Haba Xueshan), which is believed to be the deepest gorge in the world.

- Stone Drum Town: it is named after a marble stele in the shape of drum. The stone drum town is historically an important town for brisk trade of tea and horse between inland China and Tibet. It is also correlated with some significant events and legends.

- The Old Town of Lijiang: a well-preserved old city of ethnic minorities with brilliant culture, is a central town of the Lijiang Autonomous County of the Naxi Ethnic Minority in Yunnan Province.

Day 10: Lijiang  (B)
Full day is free for you to explore the city.

Day 11: Lijiang - Kunming (B, L)
Take a flight to Kunming and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Stone Forest and the Flowers and Birds Market.

- Stone Forest: Among the most dramatic of Kunming’s attractions is the Stone Forest (Shilin), known since the Ming Dynasty (1368- 1644 ) as the "First Wonder of the World."

Day 12: Kunming - Shanghai (B, L)
Take a flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon is free on your own.

Day 13: Shanghai (B, L, D)
Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. Visit the Bund and Nanjing Road.

- Shanghai Museum: The biggest museum in China, with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics. The museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy.

- Yuyuan Garden: it is a famous classical garden located in Anren Street, Shanghai.

- The Bund: The former foreign settlement, ranged along with imposing buildings of the colonial period.

- Nanjing Road: The busiest shopping street in Shanghai.

- Huangpu River: it is the most important shipping artery of Shanghai, wriggles like an undulating muddy dragon from the mouth of the Yangtze River in Wusong to the East China Sea.

Day 14: Departure from Shanghai (B)
See off.
