Nanjing
Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu Province, it is the capital city of Six or Ten Dynasties in China's history, there are many cultural heritage left from the long history.
Nanjing History
Nanjing is built at 472B.C., the name is Yuecheng at this time.
In 229, Sun Quan, one of the emperor in China's Three Kingdoms Periof (220-280), for the sake of strengthen his influence in the Yangtze River, moved the capital to Nanjing. From then on, the city become capital for several dynasties in China's History.
In 1356, Zhuyuanzhang, the first emperor of Ming Daynasty, built his capital in Nanjing.
Nanjing also witnessed the hardest moment of this China. In 1839, the Opium War burst out after Lin Zexu, an assiduous official, burnt twenty thousand boxes of opium in Humen. On a battleship in Nanjing's Xiaguan, the corrupt Qing government, under threat by Britain troops, signed the notorious Nanjing Treaty, the first of the 'Unequal Treaties' which ceded Hong Kong away from China for more than hundred years. Following this treaty, invasions and colonial rule of the western countries intensified and China sank into a harder and darker time.
Nowadays, Nanjing become to a major city in China, and the economy develop rapidly. And for the brilliant history, Nanjing is a welcome visit city for many tourists.

Confucius Temple
In year 1034, the Confucius Temple in Nanjing was originally constructed in the year of in the Song Dynasty.
Qinhuai River
Qinhuai River is a branch of the great Yangtze River, it is 110 kilometers and cover an area of 2631 square kilometers.
Zhonghua Gate
Zhonghua(means Chinese) Gate is the south gate of Nanjing City. It is a cultural relic left by ancient China.
Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum
Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum is located in the Zhong Mountain Scenic Area in the east suburb of Nanjing City, this mausoleum covering an area of 80,000 square meters.

Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, located in the eastern suburbs of Nanjing City, is the tomb of the first emperor of Ming Dynasty(1368-1644) and his empress. It is one of biggest imperial tombs in China.
