Itinerary of 7 Days China Train Tour from Beijing to Xian Travel

Day 1: Arrival at Beijing
When you arrival in Beijing, you will meet the tour guide and driver and transfer you to your hotel in Beijing. Free for rest of the day.

Day 2: Beijing (B, L, D)
1. Pick up from your hotel in Beijing, first visit Forbidden City. Then move on to Tiananmen Square.
- Forbidden City: The best preserved imperial palace in China and the largest ancient palatial structure in the world.
- Tiananmen Square: The largest public square in the world with a total area of 440,000 square meters.
2. After lunch, go on to visit Temple of Heaven. Then move on to Summer Palace.
- Temple of Heaven: The largest existing complex of ancient sacrificial buildings in China.
- Summer Palace: The largest and most well-preserved royal park in China, greatly influences Chinese horticulture.
3. End of this tour, transfer back to your hotel in Beijing. Enjoy Peking Opera Dinner and Peking Opera Show in the evening.
- Peking Opera: is a national treasure with a history of over 200 years.

Day 3: Beijing (B, L)
1. Pick up from your hotel in Beijing, and first visit Beijing Panda House. Then head to Lama Temple.
- Beijing Zoo: China's and World's largest treasure house of animals and birds, also there are pandas.
- Lama Temple: The largest and most perfectly preserved lamasery of Gelug Sect in present day Beijing.
2. After Chinese lunch, head to Shichahai area behind Beihai Park for Hutong tour by rickshaw. Then visit the Drum Tower.
- Beihai Park: is one of the most popular parks in the city of Beijing.
- Drum Tower: was placed exactly on the central axis from south to north in Beijing.
- Hutong: is what the small back streets or lanes of Beijing are called, is an unusual term used only in Beijing and a few northern cities in China.
3. End of this day, back to your hotel in Beijing.

Day 4: Beijing - Xian (B, L, D)
1. Pick up from your hotel in Beijing, and you have a full trip to Badaling Great Wall. Then go to Ming Tombs to visit Dingling.
- Badaling Great Wall: The most famous and best-preserved section of the Great Wall.
- Ming Tomb: Buried 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty, it is the largest clusters of imperial cemeteries in China.
2. After dinner, transfer you to Beijing West Station and take overnight Train to Xian.

Day 5: Arrival at Xian (L, D)
1. When you arrival at Xian in the morning, you will meet the tour guide and driver and transfer you to your hotel in Xian.
2. After lunch, visit Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. Then move on to visit The Great Mosque.
- Shaanxi Provincial History Museum: is a giant architectural in the Tang-dynasty style and it successfully symbolizes the great extent of Shaanxi history and its remarkable culture.
- Great Mosque: was that Islam were introduced into Northwest China by Arab merchants and travelers from Persia and Afghanistan during the mid-7th century.
3. After the day tour, head to Shaanxi Grand Opera House around 6:00pm for Tang Dynasty Show over Dumpling Dinner. After this tour, transfer back to your hotel in Xian.
- Tang Dynasty Show: a wonderful performance of the ancient music and dance, is a must when you visit Xian.

Day 6: Xian (B, L)
1. Pick up from your hotel in Xian, you have a full day trip to Terracotta Army.
- Terracotta Army: is only a part of the Qin emperor's tomb complex.
2. After lunch, drive back to Xian city and visit Xian City Wall.
- Xian City Wall: is the most complete city wall survived in China as well as one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world.
3. End of this tour, transfer back to your hotel in Xian.

Day 7: Leave from Xian (B)
Before transfer to airport or train station, you are free for the day.

Much thanks to my 7 days China train tour, I learnt a lot and got a lot. Compared with Beijing City, I like Xian better, because I think this city was full of traditional common tastes. Every street of this city was full of deep cultural connotation. Xian Terracotta Warriors left me a deep impression. It is truly a grand scene!

A trip from Beijing to Xian was memorable! A nice train trip with outstanding service. Love the whole tour itinerary, enjoyed till the end and took lots of photos. We learnt a lot of history about China and knew the story behind many famous attractions in both cities. Moreover, our guide was very helpful and informative. She was more than willing to take photos of me and answer my questions, it was a lovely time.

7 days Beijing to Xian train trip is a very worth trip to join. We did not feel rushed and all of itinerary went so smoothly and right in time. It was a very pleasant experience. The Terracotta Army and Forbidden City were amazing! Both of them are such great historical relics with long history behind. Worth of money and definitely a must do!
