Itinerary of 5 Days China Train Tour from Shanghai to Suzhou Travel

Day 1: Arrival at Shanghai
Upon arrival at Shanghai, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Shanghai.

Day 2: Shanghai (B, L)
1. Pick up from your hotel in Shanghai, and first visit Yuyuan Garden. Then move on to Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall.
- Yuyuan Garden: is considered one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens in the region.
- Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall: this is a fascinating insight into Shanghai's future.
2. After that, continue to visit The Shanghai World Financial Center to appreciate the flourishing Shanghai. Then head to The Bund, and then go to Yuyuan Market. Last, visit the Jiangnan Silk Shop and Workshop to enjoy the traditional Chinese silk culture.
- The Bund: extending for 105 km on the shore of the Huangpu River, is an emblem of Shanghai.
- Shanghai World Financial Center: located in Pudong District, it is now a new landmark of prosperous Shanghai.
3. End of this day, transfer back to your hotel in Shanghai.

Day 3: Shanghai - Suzhou (B, L)
1. Pick up from your hotel in Shanghai, and transfer to train station in Shanghai to take train morning train to Suzhou.
2. Arrival at Suzhou, you will be met and transferred to the first spot in Suzhou - Humble Administrators Garden. Then move on to Lingering Garden. Last, have a rickshaw ride through the old streets and hutong in Suzhou.
- Humble Administrators Garden: is one of the largest private gardens in China.
- Lingering Garden: is famous for its exquisite beauty of the magnificent halls, various sizes, shapes, and colors of the buildings.
3. End of this day, transfer to your hotel in Suzhou.

Day 4: Suzhou (B)
1. Pick up from your hotel in Suzhou, transfer to Tongli Ancient Town.
- Tongli Ancient Town: was declared one of the thirteen national standard tour towns of the Taihu Lake region.
2. Then have a cruise in Zhouzhuang.
- Zhouzhuang: extolled as No.1 water-bound town in China for it layrinth of waterways, Ming and Qing dwelling, and honest-to-goodness folkways.
3. After this day, transfer to your hotel in Suzhou.

Day 5: Suzhou - Shanghai (B)
Pick up from your hotel in Suzhou, and transfer to train station in Suzhou to take train back to Shanghai. And transfer to airport and see off.

This train tour from Shanghai to Suzhou just could not get any better than I expected! It was fun and I really felt relaxed while exploring the wonderful city of Suzhou. It seemed like the whole city was a maze of gardens. I really enjoyed every minute of it!

That was a great tour overall! From the start till the end, we got excellent tour guides. They were so knowledgeable and entertaining. 5 days Shanghai and Suzhou trip by train include all the accommodation that we should got. Really thoughtful and well worth money. If you are short on time to see everything in both cities then this is a great choice.

Great and memorable trip to both cities, Shanghai and Suzhou. Located not far from each other, both cities offer their own beauties and characteristic. I love Suzhou Lingering garden, a good example of Chinese classical garden with stunning views and unique layout. I was enjoyed the time while exploring the garden. Should spend more time inside.
