Itinerary of 2 Days Classic Datong Tour Packages (with hotel)

Day 1: Datong (L)
We will pick you up from your hotel or train station in Datong and take you visit the famous Yungang Grottoes. After that, you will visit Huayan Temple. After a short trip to Huayan Temple, you will have a Chinese lunch and move to the next destination. Then, you will visit Shanhua Monastery to have a close look at Nine Dragon Screen.
- Yungang Grottoes: represent the outstanding achievement of Buddhist cave art with 252 caves and 51,000 statues.
- Huayan Temple: is the largest and most perfectly preserved temple of the Liao and Jin dynasties in China.
- Shanhua Monastery: located in Shanxi Province, it is a Buddhist temple first founded during Tang Dynasty.
- Nine Dragon Screen: a type of screen wall with reliefs of nine different shapes of Chinese dragons.

Day 2: Datong (L)
We will pick you up from your hotel in Datong, then drive to Hanging Temple. After lunch, we will send you to Yingxian County to visit the last destination, Wooden Pagoda. After that, this 2 days Datong tour will end and we will send you back to your hotel or train station in Datong.
- Hanging Temple: built more than 1500 years ago, the temple built into a cliff more than 50 meters above the ground.
- Wooden Pagoda: regarded as the "First Pagoda in the World", it is the oldest and highest wooden structure in China.

Really enjoyed the whole trip for discover many ancient historical sites around Datong include the Hanging Temple. The incredible architecture of Hanging Temple makes me amaze. We were able to walk through the temple and enjoy the view from above. Not only Hanging Temple, others attractions also has incredible side. Highly Datong recommended trip!

This tour was the memorable one! A nice tour to explore the old ancient city of Datong. We had visited many famous historical places around the city. Very good guide and very interesting attractions. This private tour is an ideal choice to visit China with my family. Excellent tour. Worth time and money. Very recommended for you who love ancient sites of China!
