Itinerary of China Tibet Tour - 13 Days Breathtaking World Expeditions Tibet Tour

• Day 1: Arrival at Beijing
  After your arrival at Beijing, tour guide will pick you up at the airport and then transfer you to the hotel. Then you will have a free time for the rest of the day.

 
• 

  Day 2: Beijing (B, L, D)
  Pick you up from your hotel on decided time and then you will have a full day trip in Beijing to visit the Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven. In the evening, enjoy a Peking Duck Dinner and Peking Opera Show. After the tour, transfer you back to your hotel.
  - Tiananmen Square: is said to be the largest public square in the world. With a total area of 440,000 square meters and can hold one million people.
  - Forbidden City: the largest ancient imperial palaces where 24 emperors, 14 of the Ming and 10 of the Qing, ruled the country from here over a span of nearly 500 years.
  - Temple of Heaven: The temple was the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvests.

  Day 3: Beijing (B, L)
  Pick you up from your hotel on decided time and then transfer you to visit the Summer Palace. After lunch, move on to visit Badaling Great Wall. Then drive you back to the downtown and we will drive by Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) and the Water Cube (Olympic Aquatic Center) in the afternoon. After the tour, tour guide will send you back to your hotel.
  - Badaling Great Wall: As its name implies it gives access to every direction. With an elevation of 600 meters it is the most famous and best-preserved section of the Great Wall.
  - Summer Palace: the largest and best preserved imperial garden of the Qing Dynasty extant in Beijing, as well as a famous classical imperial garden.

 

• Day 4: Beijing - Lhasa (B)
  Pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport to take a flight to Lhasa. Then arrive at Lhasa, guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the local hotel.

  Day 5: Lhasa (B)
  Pick you up from your hotel on decided time and transfer to visit the Potala Palace. Then, move to visit the Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka Park and a local Tibetan family. After the tour, transfer you back to your hotel.
  - Potala Palace: A UNESCO endorsed world cultural heritage site. It was where Dalai Lama lived. The palace consists of White Palace and Red Palace, with nearly 10,000 rooms.
  - Norbulingka: The biggest man-made garden in Tibet. It consists of palaces such as KelsangPotrang, Golden Potrang and TaktenMigyurPotrang, with totally 374 rooms.
  - Sera Monastery: It is dedicated to the Gelugpa Sect, a branch of Tibetan Buddhism and is famous for debates on Buddhist doctrines. Almost 10,000 Buddhist statues are preserved here.

  Day 6: Lhasa (B)
  Pick you up from your hotel and drive you to visit the Jokhang Temple. Then continue to visit the famous Barkhor Street, Tibet Museum, Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital and Carpet Factory. After the day tour, transfer you back to your hotel.
  - Jokhang Temple: built in 647 as the earliest wood-masonry structure in Tibet. It is dedicated to a statue of Sakyamni. It has a collection of cultural relics dating back to the Tang, which includes statues of SongtsanGambo and Princess Wencheng.
  - Barkhor Street: Also called Bajiao Street - an ancient circular street with strong Tibetan flavor. It is a route where pilgrims holding prayer wheel walk clockwise. And now a famous commercial street.

 

• Day 7: Lhasa - Xian (B)
  Pick you up from hotel in Lhasa and transfer to airport take flight to Xian. When arrive at Xian, pick up from airport to hotel and check in.

  Day 8: Xian (B, L)
  Pick you up from your hotel after breakfast,  then drive you to visit the Terra Cotta Warriors. After that, have lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue to visit the Ancient City Wall. In the evening, see an entertaining and fabulous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show and enjoy the Dumpling dinner before the show. After the day tour, tour guide will transfer back to your hotel!
  - Terra Cotta Warriors: It is a part of the Qin emperor's tomb complex, the Terra Cotta Warriors is the greatest findings in the archeology world.
  - Ancient City Wall: the most complete city wall survived in China as well as one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world.

 

• Day 9:  Xian - Guilin (B, L)
  Pick you up from hotel in Xian and transfer to airport take flight to Guilin. When arrive at Guilin, pick up from airport to hotel and check in.

  Day 10: Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin (B, L)
  Pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to experience cruising along Li River. Then, move on to visit Yangshuo. First, you will have a short bicycle trip to explore the countryside, then continue to visit a local home to experience local people lifestyle there. Or in another way, you can take our electric car to explore the town.After the tour, transfer you back to Guilin.
  - Li River Cruise: From Guilin to Yangshuo. To travel the river, one will find its natural sights vary in different weathers, but are all beautiful.
  - Yangshuo: An ancient city town. Yangshuo is famous for its attractive hills and waters as well as its abundant production particularly for such fruits as sweet orange, tangerine, pomelo and persimmon.

  Day 11: Guilin - Shanghai (B, L)
  Pick you up from your hotel on decided time and then drive you to visit the Reed Flute Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill. After the tour, you will take a flight to Shanghai and transfer you to your hotel in Shanghai.
  - Reed Flute Cave: One of the most famous caves in Guilin. The 240-meter-long cave contains numerous grotesque-shaped stalactities that form four zones of the cave: Stone Forest, Heavenly Pillar and Cloud Mountain, Crystal Palace and Zigzagging Gallery.
  - Seven Stars Park: In the park is the famous Seven Stars Mountain, which has many water-eroded caves. Among these caves, the most famous scenic spot in the park is the Seven Stars Cave, which is inside the Putuo Hill.
  - Elephant Trunk Hill: shapes just like an elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk, thus its name. The symbol of Guilin.

  Day 12: Shanghai (B, L)
  Pick you up from your hotel and visit Yu Garden, the Bund. After lunch, visit Xintiandi, Nanjing Road, Jade Buddhist Temple, Shanghai Musuem, the second ball in Oriental Tower. The whole tour ends and returns to your hotel.
  - Shanghai Museum: ranked as the best museum in China.
  - Yuyuan Garden: is considered one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens in the region.
  - The Bund: the picturesque bund with tall building of various tower over the river, looking as a museum of modern world architecture.

 

• Day 13: Shanghai / End ( B)
  Pick you up from your hotel on decided time and then transfer you to airport or free on your own.
