Itinerary of 12 Days Beijing, Xian, Chengdu, Chongqing, Yangtze, Yichang and Shanghai Tour

• Day 1: Arrive in Beijing
  Be met at the Beijing airport and transfer you to the appointed hotel in downtown area and help you check in. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.

  Day 2: Beijing (B)
  Pick you up from you downtown hotel on departure time, and then drive you to the Tiananmen Square, taking pictures around the square as you like. Then visit the landmark of Beijing - Forbidden City (including the Exhibition of Treasures). After a la carte lunch at a nice local restaurantt, driving you to Summer Palace. There you will enjoy the largest and most beautiful Chinese imperial garden for about 1.5 hours. In this day, you will be also transfer to visit Chinese medicine culture. 
  - Tiananmen Square: the largest public square in the world with a total area of 440,000 square meters.
  - Forbidden City: the best preserved imperial palace in China and the largest ancient palatial structure in the world.
  - Summer Palace: the largest and most well-preserved royal park in China, greatly influences Chinese horticulture.

  Day 3: Beijing (B, L)
  Pick you up from your hotel and then transfer you to visit the Ming Tombs. Enjoy the Sightseeing on Ming Tombs of Changling. Before having lunch, you will have 45 minutes for a short visit of Jade Carving Factory. After lunch, move on to Mutianyu Great Wall for excursion. This section of the Great Wall is the most popular one among foreign tourists. Enjoy hiking and viewing the most beautiful mountain scenery in the afternoon.
  - Ming Tomb: Buried 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty, it is the largest clusters of imperial cemeteries in China.
  - Changling: the tomb of Emperor Chengzu and his empress is the largest and most magnificent one of Ming Tombs.
  - Mutianyu Great Wall: most beautiful mountain scenery makes it gain a high reputation and a great influence in China.

  Day 4: Beijing – Xian (B, L)
  Pick you up at your hotel at the departure time and visit the old Beijing lanes by taking rickshaws to explore the real life of ordinary people in Beijing. During hutong tour, you will visit the typical Chinese quadrangles, primary school, many famous old buildings like the square of Bell and Drum Tower. Drive to the Temple of Heaven to see ancient sacrificial altars for good harvest about 1.5 hours. Drive you to the airport and take a flight to Xian.
  - Hutong: Small streets in Beijing, was the memory of the traditional life and culture in Beijing.
  - Temple of Heaven: The largest existing complex of ancient sacrificial buildings in China.

  Day 5: Xian to Chengdu (B)
  Our guide will pick you up at the hotel and transfer to Small Wild Goose Pagoda. After one hour explore the area, you will be transfer to Terracotta Warriors. Transfer to the airport and take a flight to Chengdu. Today you have a choice to have a la carte lunch at a nice local restaurant.
  - Small Wild Goose Pagoda: a well-preserved Tang Dynasty building and regarded as elegant Buddhism heritage of Tang Dynasty..
  - Terra Cotta Warriors: It is a part of the Qin emperor's tomb complex, the Terra Cotta Warriors is the greatest findings in the archeology world.

  Day 6: Chengdu (B, L)
  Tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and transfer to the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research. Travelers could take some photos with the pandas. View their adorable and unique habits in their natural habitat. Then transfer you to Broad and Narrow Alleys of Chengdu and then explore Jinli Old Street.
  - Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center: One of the earliest research bases famous for the great work in protecting the endangered species like Giant Panda.
  - Broad and Narrow Alleys: one of the most-visited historic and cultural spots to touch the city's past.

 

• Day 7: Chengdu to Chongqing to Yangtze River (B)
  Pick you up at the hotel and transfer to Chengdu Airport. Take a flight to Chongqing. After arrival, you will be board the ship, take the cruise trip to Yangtze River.

  Day 8: Yangtze River (B, L, D)
  Take the cruise tour in Yangtze River and enjoy many interesting entertainment activities on board. That time, you will also have an optional tour to visit Fengdu Ghost City.
  - Fengdu Ghost City: is one of the most distinctive and famous historical towns since ancient times and well-known for its ghost culture.

  Day 9: Yangtze River (B, L, D)
  Sailing through many beauty gorges along the river. Passing through Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge, Shennong Stream. It is the most dangerous and shortest of the Three Gorges on the river.
  - Qutang Gorge: it is the first of the three gorges of the Yangtze River and it is famous for its sheer and spectacular precipices.
  - Wu Gorge: Wu Gorge is the second gorge of the Three Gorges system in Yangtze River and gifted with exquisite peaks and lush mountains and ranges.
  - Shennong Stream: is one of the most important ports of call for Yangtze Three Gorges tour. It is a 60-kilometer tributary of the Yangtze River
  - Xiling Gorge: it is the largest and furthest downstream of the Three Gorges.

  Day 10: Yichang to Shanghai (B)
  Shore excursion to The Three Gorges Dam Site. After that from Yichang you will take a flight to Shanghai. On your arrival, pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel in Shanghai.
  - Three Gorges Dam, the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man and it has been a dream for several generations of Chinese people.

  Day 11: Shanghai (B, L)
  Pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to visit  the Yu Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, the Bund, Nanjing Road and Shanghai Museum. Today you have a chance to have a la carte lunch at a nice local restaurant. And after the whole day tour, transfer you back to the hotel.
  - Yu Garden: is considered one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens in the region.
  - Jade Buddha Temple: a spiritual oasis in the midst of a booming city
  - The Bund: the International Architecture Exhibition Group as the scenery line of Shanghai.
  - Nanjing Road: the earliest and most bustling business streets in Shanghai.
  - Shanghai Museum: with collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics as the China's best museum.

 

• Day 12: Departure from Shanghai (B)
  Drop off to the Beijing capital airport. See off.
