Itinerary of 1 Day Datong Yungang Grottoes Tour

1. Tour guide will pick you up from the hotel that you are staying at or train station in Datong and then we will visit the Yungang Grottoes.
- Yungang Grottoes: represent the outstanding achievement of Buddhist cave art with 252 caves and 51,000 statues.
2. After having lunch, you will visit the Shanhua Monastery which has an interesting architecture and history.
- Shanhua Monastery: located in Shanxi Province, it is a Buddhist temple first founded during Tang Dynasty.
3. Then tour guide will send you to the next destination, you will visit the famous Nine Dragon Screen walls.
- Nine Dragon Screen: a type of screen wall with reliefs of nine different shapes of Chinese dragons.
4. After that, you will transfer back to your hotel or train station in Datong and this one day Datong tour end!

The trip to learn the ancient history of China. We got to see some of incredible heritages of China such as Yungang Grottoes. We are a family stayed in Beijing for almost two years. We were look for another trip to the outside Beijing and got this tour line from chinalandscapes. The service was nice and our guide always sharing her enthusiasm with us and taking care of the group along the way. Worth to recommend!

My family and I took a full day trip and it was the highlight of our trip in China. One day full Datong tour was worth it! We did visit Yungang Grottoes which famous for its outstanding cave art Buddha statues. We had enjoyed lots of original and ancient caves around the area. Captured a lot of amazing photos as our memories, we did brought nice memory back home! Thank you!
